Position Summary
Reporting to the Regional Manager, the Apartment Leasing Agent is responsible for generating quality leads for prospective tenants to fill our vacancies. The successful candidate will also be required to perform all related administrative tasks and other duties as assigned.
Key Duties And Responsibilities
- Set up appointments and conduct unit showings with prospective tenants.
- Carry out reference checks of the new applicants.
- Answer current and/or prospective tenant enquiries, submit applications to head office for approval
- Prepare new applications, move-in packages as well as monthly move-in/move-out reports.
- Check the readiness of the suites as per the vacant list. Check cleanliness of building, monitoring of buildings, monitoring of branding, report condition of all vacant suites available for rent
- Assist in market research, reports, posting rental ads, participating in company promotional drives
- Utilize MRI system to record transactions and run various operational reports.
- Assist and support other Resident Managers as required.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by senior management.
Qualifications
- Experience in apartment leasing/ sales/ hotel management
- Familiarity with the Residential Tenancy Act and building systems an asset
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle
- Required to work three consecutive days in a week including weekends
- Exceptional customer service and relationship building skills
- Possess excellent planning and organization skills
- Above average problem solving, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills
- Able to effectively manage time and resources to ensure deadlines are met
- Must successfully complete a security clearance
