Position Overview

As a Commercial Lease Analyst / Administrator, you will support clients through detailed lease analysis, financial review, and audit processes. This role sits at the intersection of commercial real estate and accounting, requiring strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple client mandates simultaneously. You will work closely with internal teams, clients, and landlords to ensure financial accuracy and optimize outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze and validate operating expenses, taxes, and other recoverable costs billed by landlords
• Review lease agreements and interpret financial clauses impacting clients
• Perform variance analyses and annual expense reconciliations
• Conduct lease audits and investigate discrepancies with landlords
• Prepare client-facing reports, summaries, and recommendations
• Maintain and update lease and financial data within internal systems
• Review rent notices and ensure data accuracy
• Coordinate with landlords to obtain supporting documentation
• Support recurring financial reporting and expense tracking
• Assist with IFRS 16 lease accounting processes and reporting
• Track critical lease dates and ensure compliance
• Participate in client meetings and present analysis findings
• Contribute to process improvement and tool development initiatives
• Support ad hoc financial analyses (e.g., Total Occupancy Cost)

Desired Candidate

• 3+ years of experience in commercial real estate, lease administration, or financial analysis
• Strong understanding of lease structures, recoveries, and real estate financials
• Experience with lease accounting principles (IFRS 16 is an asset)
• High level of comfort working with financial data and analysis
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel required)
• Strong attention to detail and analytical mindset
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Client-focused with strong problem-solving abilities
• Bilingual (French & English), written and spoken
