Job description

Federated Co-operatives Limited (FCL) is hiring a Learning Specialist, Delivery on a temporary basis (term up to 7 months).

We are looking for an outgoing individual who is able to facilitate engaging conversation. The successful candidate will act as the face of our Learning & Development team, delivering a suite of workshops designed to foster professional growth. This position is a hybrid opportunity and is open to candidates across Western Canada. This role requires up to 50% travel to facilitate in-person workshops, as such, proximity to a major airport is preferred.

What you’ll do:

  • Deliver engaging workshops—virtually or in person—for team members across the Co-operative Retailing System (CRS).
  • Plan and coordinate logistics for in-person sessions, including venues, travel, and catering.
  • Manage event execution, monitor attendance, and handle post-workshop follow-up like evaluations and expenses.
  • Support the Learning & Development team in designing and preparing content for initiatives across the CRS.
  • Collaborate with Learning Specialists and assist with occasional Learning Management System (LMS) setup.

Who you’ll work with:

You will be one of two Learning Specialists, Delivery and will report into a Learning and Development Specialist. This energetic, creative team is passionate about driving meaningful learning experiences. You will interact most often with your peers, other HR Professionals, workshop participants from diverse backgrounds across the CRS.

Who you are:

You are looking for a career in Human Resources & Training and:

  • Have 1-3 years of experience in HR or learning and development.
  • Have a bachelor’s degree in business or education (a combination of relevant education and experience may be considered).
  • Have a strong understanding of adult learning principles and customer service.
  • Have a valid drivers license and the ability to travel to facilitate in-person workshops.
