Job summary

Ampere is seeking a Learning Experience Designer to craft inclusive, engaging content for K-12 students across Canada. You will design curriculum-aligned materials, focus on accessibility and equity, and collaborate with teams to deliver high-quality experiences.

This role requires knowledge of provincial curricula (Ontario, Nunavut, Alberta, BC), strong assessment practices, and the ability to work with SMEs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in education or related field; masters preferred.
  • Teaching license from Ontario, Alberta, or BC is an asset.
  • 3–5 years of full-time K-12 teaching experience with focus on math and science.
  • Experience with curriculum writing and assessment strategies.
  • Experience designing curriculum-mapped content and using UDL.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop K-12 educational content across Canada based on provincial curricula.
  • Write clear, measurable learning objectives and align materials to objectives.
  • Collaborate with SMEs and cross-department teams on projects.
  • Use educational technologies to deliver engaging learning experiences.
  • Adapt content based on assessment outcomes.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Learning Experience Designer to design and develop educational content for K-12 students across Canada. This role requires a focus on creating inclusive, engaging learning experiences and the ability to work collaboratively across teams. If you are a creative educator with a knack for curriculum design and a desire to make a meaningful impact in Canadian education, we’d love to hear from you!

Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop educational content for K-12 students across Canada based on provincial and territorial curricula
  • Have experience designing curriculum-mapped educational content
  • Strong familiarity with Ontario, Nunavut,Alberta, and/or B.C.’s curriculum
  • Write clear and measurable learning objectives, and align teaching materials to the learning objectives
  • Have a firm understanding of curriculum writing and curriculum review processes
  • Have a firm knowledge of assessment practices and can adapt educational content based on assessment outcomes
  • Use educational technologies to deliver quality and engaging learning experiences
  • Able to use UDL (Universal Design for Learning) to accommodate diverse learning styles
  • Work with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to refine content based on feedback
  • Collaborate with cross-departmental teams to work on special projects and assignments
Attributes and Qualifications:

Equal consideration will be given to non-academic skills and experiences of candidates.

  • Bachelor’s degree in education or a similar field, Masters is an asset
  • A valid teaching license from either Ontario, Alberta, or B.C. will be considered an asset.
  • Minimum of 3-5years of full-time teaching experience in K-12 schools with a focus on math and science
  • Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision to meet deadlines and manage schedules
  • Strong knowledge of assessment principles and strategies
  • Strong knowledge of Pedagogical Principles and STEAM education
  • Proven Indigenous Cultural Competency
