The Learning and Development Specialist will design, develop, and implement instructional materials and curriculum to enhance the skills and knowledge of our team members. This role will leverage various instructional design tools and methodologies to create engaging and effective learning experiences. The candidate will work closely with subject matter experts and stakeholders to ensure that training programs meet the needs of the organization and its employees. This role will start with a six-month contract with the potential to turn into a longer-term role.

This is a 6 month contract opportunity.

What you’ll do:

• Design and develop instructional materials and curriculum using tools such as Articulate Storyline, Articulate Rise, Camtasia, Audiate, Vyond, and other instructional design tools.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts to gather content and ensure accuracy and relevance of training materials.
• Create engaging and interactive e-learning modules, videos, and other multimedia content.
• Develop face-to-face and virtual instructor-led training sessions that align with identified learning objectives and meet the training needs of the learners.
• Monitor and assess the effectiveness of training programs through formative and summative evaluations.
• Provide recommendations for continuous improvement of training materials and delivery methods.
• Act as a subject matter expert on instructional design and curriculum development, providing guidance and support to other team members.
• Stay abreast of the latest trends and best practices in instructional design and e-learning.
• Using AI to assist with development would be considered an asset.

What you bring:

• Certificate in Adult Education or a related discipline.
• Post-secondary education in instructional design, curriculum development, or a related field.
• Proven experience in instructional design and curriculum development.
• Proficiency in using instructional design tools such as Articulate Storyline, Articulate Rise, Camtasia, Audiate, Vyond, and other relevant tools.
• Experience in developing e-learning modules, videos, and other multimedia content.
• Experience in facilitating face-to-face and virtual instructor-led training sessions.
• Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to quality
