Job summary
Health Standards Organization (HSO) seeks volunteers for the role of Leading Practices Reviewer. A critical part of Health Standards Organization (HSO) and Accreditation Canada’s Quebec strategy is to create a dynamic learning system that can identify new ways to apply Qmentum program for organizations and inspire surveyors to conduct surveys differently. Leading Practice reviewers play a very important role in recognizing Leading Practices in global organizations across the care continuum that are particularly innovative solutions to improve quality.
To ensure our panels have the expertise to review the Leading Practices submitted, we require a large pool of reviewers with varied skill sets and backgrounds.
Let’s break it down. You will be helping by:
• Being part of a community of Reviewers who share an interest in quality improvement
• Applying your evaluation skills to quality improvement initiatives
• Maintaining currency by being amongst the first to read about innovative practices in health care
• Assisting your own organization with its quality improvement activities by spreading and scaling recognized innovative practices
• Being a contributor to the identification of Leading Practices on a national and international scale

You’ll stand out if you...
• Have a deep understanding of implementation science in the healthcare system
• Have significant and recent experience in one the sectors of leading practices
• Have a great passion in quality improvement and People-Centred Care
Financial Assistance – Participation as a Leading Practice Reviewer is first and foremost a volunteer activity; however, financial support is available to patients or family members where the individual has self-identified that financial hardship creates a barrier to full participation in the standards development process. Individuals who are supported by their organizations to attend on-site meetings or who are receiving a pension are not eligible to receive compensation.
