Job summary

Metro Supply Chain is seeking a hands-on Leadership Development & Training Specialist (Contract) to design and deliver impactful soft skills and leadership programs. The role emphasizes instructor-led sessions, both in-person and virtual, and requires strong facilitation and curriculum design skills.

The position offers a hybrid work setup with three days in the office and two days remote, with opportunities to partner with leaders across the business, measure training impact, and continuously

Qualifications

  • 3–7 years in training, L&D, leadership development, or facilitation.
  • Experience designing and facilitating soft skills and leadership programs.
  • Strong classroom and virtual facilitation skills engaging diverse audiences.
  • Experience facilitating workshops for supervisors, managers, and senior leaders.
  • Experience creating facilitator-led training materials, participant guides, workbooks, and activities.
  • Ability to translate business needs into practical learning experiences.
  • Excellent presentation and relationship-building skills.
  • Experience with virtual learning platforms and LMS.
  • Experience in operational, supply chain, logistics, or corporate environments is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop instructor-led soft skills training focused on leadership, communication, teamwork, coaching, change management, customer focus, and workplace effectiveness.
  • Create facilitator guides, participant workbooks, activities, case studies, and other classroom learning materials.
  • Deliver engaging classroom and virtual workshops using interactive adult learning techniques.
  • Facilitate learning experiences for team members and leaders across the organization.
  • Partner with business leaders to identify capability gaps and develop learning solutions that support employee and leadership development.
  • Apply adult learning principles and facilitation best practices to create engaging and impactful learning experiences.
  • Measure training effectiveness and continuously enhance content and delivery based on participant feedback and business needs.

We are seeking a hands-onLeadership Development & Training Specialist who is passionate about creating and delivering impactful learning experiences that build leadership, communication, and other critical workplace soft skills. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys facilitating engaging classroom and virtual learning sessions and has experience designing instructor-led training programs that drive employee growth and business performance.

This role is primarily focused on designing and facilitating instructor-led soft skills and leadership development programs rather than technical training or eLearning development.

Success in this role requires exceptional facilitation skills and a passion for helping others learn, grow, and achieve their potential.

Key Responsibilities

Qualifications & Experience
  • 3–7 years of experience in training, learning & development, leadership development, facilitation, adult education, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience designing and facilitating soft skills and leadership development programs.
  • Strong classroom and virtual facilitation skills with the ability to engage diverse audiences.
  • Experience facilitating workshops for supervisors, managers, and senior leaders.
  • Experience creating facilitator-led training materials, participant guides, workbooks, and learning activities.
  • Proven ability to translate business needs into practical and engaging learning experiences.
  • Experience facilitating leadership, communication, coaching, customer service, or team development training.
  • Excellent presentation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Experience with virtual learning platforms and learning management systems.
  • Experience in operational, supply chain, logistics, or corporate environments an asset.
