As a Leader, Quality at Bombardier, reporting to the Quality Director, you are responsible for managing unionized employees. Your role requires acting as a coach and a communicator.

Responsibilities:
  1. Plan and assign workload in accordance with approved procedures and standards.
  2. Organize, control, and direct unionized staff (around 25) for the provision of aircraft production activities, planning and control.
  3. Enforce all regulations, policies, and procedures related to the activities being performed.
  4. Ensure proper documentation of all aircraft-related activities.
  5. Ensure all workplace programs (safety, tool control, etc.) are adhered to.
  6. Be responsible for the safe operation of equipment by enforcement of all pertinent safety standards and proper work habits.
  7. Be responsible for the local Health and Safety Plan.
  8. Be responsible for compliance with all aspects of the established quality system within Bombardier including continual improvement and customer satisfaction requirements.
  9. Coordinate activities with other departments to achieve optimum efficiency with the personnel, equipment, facilities, and resources.
  10. Allocate resources, as necessary to meet scheduled and unscheduled commitments.
  11. Maintain knowledge of production directives, policies, instructions, procedures, programs, and plans.
How to thrive in this role? Skills, knowledge & experience:
  1. You have an Engineering degree or College Diploma in Aerospace, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  2. You hold a minimum of four (4) years’ experience in supervising all areas of aircraft maintenance, including servicing, unscheduled, and scheduled maintenance.
  3. You have knowledge of Lean methodology.
  4. You have a good knowledge of Airworthiness Regulations and Standards (TCCA/FAA/JAA) and ISO/AS 9001 standards.
  5. You hold good interpersonal and communication skills (English - mandatory).
