Job summary

Bombardier is seeking a production supervision professional to lead a team of about 25 unionized employees in a fast-changing manufacturing environment. You will plan, supervise, monitor production goals, and drive continuous improvement while ensuring safety and quality standards are met.

The ideal candidate holds a diploma in operations/production management, with 3–5 years in a supervisory role and strong planning, leadership, and interpersonal skills, plus bilingual French is an asset.

Qualifications

• Diploma in operations, production, or engineering management or related field (aeronautics is a plus).
• 3–5 years of experience in a supervisory role in a unionized manufacturing environment.
• Strong planning and organizational skills to ensure objectives are met.

Responsibilities

• Plan and supervise the activities and management of a team of approximately 25 unionized employees.
• Be responsible for the operational processes of your sector and achieve production objectives.
• Manage the budgets of your group and ensure product quality.
• Plan daily operations and monitor them.
• Report and analyze productivity, quality, health and safety, absenteeism indicators.
• Resolve problems efficiently and timely.
• Maintain cross-department communication on sector issues.
• Drive continuous improvement using operational excellence concepts.
• Train employees, evaluate performance, and support progression.
• Promote teamwork and open communication.
• Demonstrate leadership aligned with Bombardier's vision and values.
• Coach the team to develop talent within the organization.

What are your contributions to the team?

In your role, you will:

Plan and supervise the activities and management of a team of approximately 25 unionized employees.

Be responsible for the operational processes of your sector by achieving and monitoring the production objectives.

Manage the budgets of your group and ensure the quality of the product.

Plan the daily operations of your sector and follow up on them.

Report and analyze various indicators related to productivity, quality, health and safety, absenteeism, etc.

Resolve problems in an efficient and timely manner.

Maintain communication with other departments for any issues related to your sector.

Ensure continuous improvement using operational excellence concepts and the problem-solving process.

Ensure the training of your employees, evaluate their performance and their progress.

Promote a work environment based on teamwork and open communication.

How to thrive in this role?

As our ideal candidate,

You have a diploma in operations, production, or engineering management or a related field (aeronautics an asset).

You have 3-5 years of experience in a supervisory role in a unionized manufacturing environment.

You have strong planning and organizational skills to ensure results are achieved.
