Job summary

Arcadis is seeking a Water and Wastewater Process Mechanical Engineer with 5 to 10 years of progressive experience for our Canadian Water team in Oakville, Ontario. You will lead design and analysis for municipal water and wastewater facilities, coordinate with disciplines, and manage construction support.

You will also contribute to proposals, budgeting, and business development, ensuring compliance with codes and standards while mentoring junior engineers.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of experience in process mechanical engineering for water and wastewater facilities.
• Bachelor degree in civil or chemical engineering; P.Eng. designation in good standing.
• Strong knowledge of CAD systems and design standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead process mechanical design for upgrades of municipal water and wastewater facilities and pumping stations.
• Lead design for new communal water and wastewater systems.
• Provide construction support including RFIs, shop drawing reviews, and site inspections.
• Develop construction documents and basis of design with detailed calculations.
• Complete assessments, develop design options and document recommendations.
• Lead design coordination between engineering disciplines.
• Develop process flow narratives and perform hydraulic analyses.
• Assist in project management: budgeting and scheduling.
• Participate in proposals and business development.
