Job summary

Groupe Robert Inc. in Mississauga is seeking a Lead Hand to supervise daily warehouse activities under the Warehouse Supervisor. You will assist with shipping/receiving tasks, coordinate workloads, and ensure adherence to procedures to meet department goals and safety standards.

The role requires 2–5 years of related experience, a high school diploma, and familiarity with Robert's systems (Yard Smart, Manhattan, Acuterm). First Aid certification and strong leadership are essential.

Qualifications

2-5 years of experience in a similar position.
High school diploma required.
Knowledge of Robert's systems (Yard smart, Manhattan, Acuterm, etc.)
First Aid Certified.
Ability to recognize and address safety concerns.
Strong priority management.
Excellent leadership skills.
Punctual and meticulous with initiative.
Good physical condition.
Team spirit and resourcefulness.

Responsibilities

Assist the Supervisor and shipping/receiving technician in daily tasks.
Coordinate the workload and provide support to the team.
Ensure compliance with operating procedures to meet department objectives.
Adhere to health and safety procedures and regulations.
Take charge of implementing special projects.
Ensure safe product storage and handling.
Ensure compliance with customer requirements.
In the absence of the DC supervisor, handle food safety and food defense procedures ensuring team compliance.
Ensure completion of orders to meet customer delivery dates.
