This position offers team leadership within our transportation professionals. We seek a Lead Traffic Engineer / Project Manager with project management experience and an entrepreneurial mindset to expand our transportation planning and operational analysis services and advance their career.

What a day at EXP has in store for you

Develop and lead a team handling transportation planning and traffic operations analyses, including:

• Complex traffic impact studies for land development
• Environmental assessment and construction traffic impact analyses
• Transportation master plans and operational analysis, including micro-simulation
• Managing traffic-related projects
• Maintaining client communication; preparing technical reports and presentations
• Coordinating internal resources to ensure timely, within-budget project delivery with quality control
• Overseeing assessments and reports prepared by junior staff
• Representing EXP and clients at public/private meetings with municipal authorities and MTO
• Supporting business development to grow our group
• Contributing positively to team culture and environment

What your experience looks like

• Degree in Civil Engineering with 10+ years of relevant experience, preferably with Ontario municipal and provincial authorities and land development
• RAQS certification or qualifications to certify Traffic Impact Analyses
• P. Eng. designation with PEO
• Experience in project management, report writing, and client relations
• Proficiency with traffic assessment and transportation planning software (Synchro, VISSIM, Aimsun, EMME)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Experience in Transportation Master Plan projects (desirable)
• Strong interpersonal skills focused on client requirements
• Excellent communication and technical writing skills
• Organizational and time management skills
• Attention to detail and accuracy
