Our client is currently looking for one Project Manager resource, preferably with information technology experience, to lead projects in drug and pharmacy. The position offers the flexibility to work remotely and reports directly to the Director of Provincial Programs.
Duties & Responsibilities
The successful candidate will undertake the following tasks and responsibilities, including but not limited to:
- Overall planning, coordination, and governance of projects;
- Develop dashboards and reporting analytics to track progress;
- Oversee application validation, testing, and development of solutions for compatibility issues;
- Manage procurement and financial tracking;
- Lead issue escalation processes;
- Create and manage exception processes for standards deviations;
- Communicate with partners, stakeholders, and users throughout the project;
- Manage organizational change related to the project;
- Coordinate all aspects of the project throughout its lifecycle;
- Support a proactive, cross-functional project team that encourages innovation, teamwork, and open communication;
- Recognize personal and team successes;
- Maintain high competency in project management disciplines;
- Lead project team members in project implementation, planning, management, coordination, change management, and communication;
- Monitor and report project progress to the Director and stakeholders;
- Communicate effectively at all stakeholder levels, setting clear expectations;
- Oversee requirements gathering, detailed design, and future state development;
- Manage issue escalation and tracking;
- Support decision-making processes;
- Lead, direct, and manage project staff, fostering performance and expertise;
- Organize and prioritize work, provide performance feedback, and implement corrective actions as needed;
- Perform other tasks as assigned by the Director, Provincial Programs.
Mandatory Qualifications
The candidate must have:
- A post-secondary degree in Business Administration or an equivalent field;
- At least five years of relevant experience in project management within a dynamic environment, with experience in data analytics or IT considered an asset.
Preferred Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have:
- Experience managing large-scale IT software or infrastructure projects;
- Experience in organizational change management;
- Proven ability to manage vendors and ensure contractual accountability;
- Experience working in healthcare or research environments is an asset.
