Whistler Sliding Centre in Whistler, BC is hiring a Lead, Track Operations to lead and support the Track Operations crew in safe preparation, maintenance, and operation of the sliding track and related infrastructure. This regular full-time role requires coordinating daily activities to support athlete training, competitions, and public programs.

• Supervisory or team leadership experience.
• Construction, maintenance or mechanical trades experience (carpentry, welding, refrigeration, or fabrication) is an asset.
• Strong leadership, communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Commitment to workplace safety.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and sound judgement.
• Class 5 BC Driver's License required.
• Experience in sliding sport operations is an asset.
• Heavy equipment or machinery experience is an asset.
• A passion for providing exceptional customer service.

Responsabilidades

• Lead and support Track Operations staff in safe prep, maintenance, repair, and operation of the sliding track and supporting infrastructure.
• Coordinate daily operational activities to support athlete training, competitions, and public programs.
• Assist with track prep, inspections, maintenance, and hazard identification to ensure safe operating conditions.
• Perform and coordinate repairs to track systems, buildings, weather protection systems, water systems, grounds, and equipment.
• Use hand and power tools to repair, modify, and fabricate wood, concrete, and metal components.
• Monitor track conditions and assist with operational systems including track temperature controls and shade systems.
• Support staff scheduling, onboarding, training, and performance feedback in collaboration with Track Operations leadership.
• Maintain maintenance records, work orders, safety documentation, and equipment inventories.
• Promote a strong culture of workplace health and safety and support compliance with WorkSafeBC and Technical Safety BC requirements.
• Work collaboratively with internal departments, athletes, coaches, officials, and Guest Services to support successful sport and public programming.
• Deliver exceptional service by living our AIM (All Interactions Matter) customer service philosophy.
• Assist with other operational duties as required.
