Job description

Reporting to the District Manager, the Lead Technician will be responsible for the repair and maintenance of all Rubber Duck car wash locations. This role requires collaboration with team members and external contractors. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of car wash equipment, conducting preventative maintenance, and providing training to the team.

Your responsibilities will include:
  1. Perform on-site repairs at various locations; occasional trips to Prince Edward Island will be necessary to service those sites.
  2. Prioritize repairs on car wash equipment to reduce downtime and maintain operational efficiency.
  3. Conduct regular checks on equipment according to established schedules, including weekly, monthly, and annual inspections.
  4. Assist in the installation of new car wash equipment at various locations.
  5. Work closely with outside contractors when required for repairs or installations.
  6. Assist in training other team members on proper repair and maintenance procedures.
  7. Communicate effectively with customers, team members, and contractors in a professional manner.
  8. Support other team members and contribute to the overall success of Rubber Duck Car Wash.
Your Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have values and vision aligned with Rubber Duck’s, including strong communication skills, a collaborative attitude, exceptional problem-solving abilities, and a focus on customer satisfaction. Effective workload management and a proactive approach are essential.

  • Previous experience in maintenance and repair, preferably with plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
  • Experience as an Electrician, Plumber, or Millwright is beneficial. A diploma or red seal certification is an asset but not mandatory.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.
  • Flexibility to travel between locations and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Willingness to learn and take on new challenges.
  • Leadership qualities and ability to motivate and train team members.
