M2 Mechanic Licensed Technician
The position: We are looking for an M2 Mechanic Licensed Technician responsible for assembling, disassembling, and repairing various mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
Other key responsibilities include:
- Detecting structural, mechanical, or hydraulic aircraft problems and adjusting and repairing them according to specifications, technical drawings, manuals, and procedures;
- Repairing and overhauling structural, mechanical, or hydraulic aircraft systems;
- Installing and modifying aircraft engines or other systems such as mechanical, hydraulic, flight control, fuel, and pneumatic systems;
- Dismantling airframes, engines, or other aircraft systems for repair, cleaning, reassembly, and returning to good condition;
- Performing routine maintenance, reporting defects, and ordering parts;
- Checking aircraft structural and mechanical systems to ensure they meet Transport Canada and client safety and performance standards;
- Monitoring quality of operations, identifying anomalies, and making corrections;
- Performing surveys of parameters, reading, and interpreting them;
- Actively participating in the Client’s Safety Management System (SMS), reporting hazards and incidents, and promoting safety policies;
- Keeping detailed reports on aircraft repair, inspection, and certification.
Education and experience:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in Aircraft Maintenance;
- Endorsements for 737 NG/Max and/or Embraer 170/190 are assets;
- Understanding of manufacturers and regulatory documentation, including Service Bulletins and Engineering Drawings;
- Ability to meet quality, cost, and time commitments;
- Ability to read drawings and apply technical documentation rigorously;
- Understanding of Canadian Aviation Regulations (CARS);
- Extensive knowledge of and skillful use of maintenance tools and processes;
- Proficiency with complex testing equipment;
- Own a set of tools and a toolbox (specialty and calibrated tools provided).
