POSITION OVERVIEW

We are seeking a Lead Structures/Aero Engineer to own structural and aerodynamic design for a new aerospace platform, from concept through detailed design, build support, and certification.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Lead structural design and aerodynamic analysis for a new airframe from early concept through detailed design
  • Own structural substantiation, load analysis, and design trade studies for the platform
  • Direct and review the work of supporting structures/aero engineers
  • Establish structural design standards, methods, and documentation practices for the program

REQUIRED QUALIFICATION

  • Demonstrated experience owning structural design for a platform from concept through certification
  • Proficiency with structural analysis (FEA) and CAD tools

PREFFERED QUALIFICATION
  • Experience with composite and metallic airframe design for uncrewed aerial systems
  • Familiarity with aerospace certification standards (e.g., STANAG 4671, AEP-4671, or equivalent)
  • Experience in cold-weather or extreme-environment platform design
HOURS OF WORK AND WORK ENVIRONMENT
  • The position is an onsite role, and the Employee is required to perform their duties primarily at the Company’s designated workplace, as directed by the Company.
  • The standard work schedule consists of forty (40) hours per week, typically performed Monday to Friday, subject to operational requirements.
  • From time to time, the Employee may be required to maintain reasonable flexibility in working hours to support operational needs, time-sensitive activities, or business priorities.

Nous recherchons un Lead Structures/Ingénieur Aéro pour posséder la conception structurelle et aérodynamique d'une nouvelle plateforme aérospatiale, de la conception à la conception détaillée, le support à la construction et la certification.

RESPONSABILITÉS CLÉS
  • Tête de la conception structurelle et de l'analyse aérodynamique pour une nouvelle cellule, du concept initial à la conception détaillée
  • Des études de la structure de la base de la propre structure, analyse de charge et conception pour la plateforme
  • Diriger et examiner le travail des structures de soutien/ingénieurs aérodynamiques
  • Établir des normes, méthodes et pratiques de documentation pour la conception structurelle du programme
  • Résolution principale des problèmes de conception structurelle identifiés lors de la construction, de l'intégration ou des essais
  • Représenter les structures/l'ingénierie aérodynamique lors des revues de conception et des étapes de certification
  • Coordonner avec les équipes de propulsion, d'intégration des systèmes et de fabrication sur les interfaces structurelles
QUALIFICATION REQUISE
  • Licence en génie aérospatial ou mécanique (master préféré)
  • 7+ ans d'expérience en structures aéronautiques ou en ingénierie aérodynamique, avec une expérience en leadership
  • Expérience démontrée dans la conception structurelle d'une plateforme, de la conception à la certification
  • Maîtrise de l'analyse structurelle (FEA) et des outils de CAO
  • Compétences solides en leadership et coordination interfonctionnelle.
  • Une habilitation de sécurité canadienne est requise
QUALIFICATION PRÉFÉRÉE
  • Expérience avec la conception de cellules composites et métalliques pour systèmes d'antennes sans équipage
