Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer for our Vancouver office to lead complex building and industrial projects, delivering high-level structural design and mentoring staff.

You will apply steel and concrete design expertise, seismic design, and codes (CSA/IBC) using SAP2000, ETABS, RAM, Mass, and Profis, with Revit/AutoCAD proficiency. Travel may be required. 15+ years NA experience and P.Eng in BC preferred.

Qualifications

• 15+ years North American experience in structural design of building structures.
• Experience leading engineering teams on large-scale projects.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver complex structural solutions on time and within budget.

Responsibilities

• Provide senior-level leadership in structural design of buildings and industrial facilities.
• Serve as technical lead on major projects with innovative, code-compliant solutions.
• Mentor engineers and technologists; oversee QA/QC and ensure adherence to budgets and schedules.
• Lead multidisciplinary coordination with internal teams, clients, and external consultants.
• Prepare and coordinate project specifications with construction documents; conduct constructability reviews.
