Job summary

Remote People Ltd. in the London, Ontario Area is seeking a licensed Structural Bridge Engineer to take technical ownership of steel bridge and infrastructure projects, from concept through fabrication and construction.

You will combine hands-on structural engineering with technical leadership, reviewing drawings, mentoring junior engineers, and collaborating with project teams, fabrication, clients, and other professionals.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering.
Licensed Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in at least three Canadian provinces.
5+ years of structural engineering experience.
Strong background in structural steel design and analysis.
Experience designing bridges or comparable complex steel structures.
Strong understanding of Canadian structural and bridge engineering codes.
Experience with structural analysis and engineering design software.

Responsibilities

Engineer and analyze steel bridge structures and related infrastructure systems.
Complete structural calculations, load analysis, stress assessments, and advanced modelling.
Review and take professional responsibility for drawings and technical documentation.
Support projects from concept through fabrication and construction.
Provide technical direction and mentorship to junior engineers and students.
Work with clients and project stakeholders on technical requirements, approvals, and inspections.
