Job summary

Alstom is seeking a Special Process Expert to shape safe, repeatable installation processes for wayside and onboard signalling. You’ll connect design with site realities, reduce risk, and ensure readiness of tooling, controls, and competencies to deliver quality installations on time.

You will own the technical framework, drive FMEA actions, define requirements, and support supplier qualification while adhering to Alstom quality and EHS standards within Toronto deployments.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree in installation, railway systems, signalling, electrical, electronics or equivalent.
• 5–8 years in installation, field ops, signalling, quality, testing or commissioning.
• Experience with installation special-process qualification, validation and control.
• Knowledge of FMEA, risk reduction, control plans, root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Experience defining installation requirements and tooling, methods and field means.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical framework for installation special processes across wayside and onboard signalling.
• Manage installation risk and drive action plans via Process FMEA.
• Define installation requirements, tooling, and field means to start installation.
• Qualify product/installation-process pairs and monitor suppliers/subcontractors.
• Deploy and validate new installation processes aligned with project milestones.
