Lead Software Engineer Job Summary:

The company is currently looking to hire an AWS Cloud Engineer within our Domestic Payables division. This position is remote-based and falls under our Payables line of business. We’re seeking an experienced Amazon Web Services (AWS) Cloud Engineer with expertise in strategy, design, development, and implementation of large-scale cloud projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong grasp of emerging technologies, platforms, and applications, and the ability to customize them to enhance our business security and efficiency. Extensive knowledge of cloud maintenance, experience managing staff, and advanced industry knowledge are essential to keep us on the cutting edge. The Cloud Engineer will impact daily IT operations and contribute to ongoing growth.

• As an AWS Cloud Engineer, you will work remotely. The company will provide:
• Formal, hands-on training

Lead Software Engineer Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the engineering team to identify and implement optimal cloud-based solutions.
• Define and document best practices and strategies for application deployment and infrastructure maintenance.
• Provide guidance, thought leadership, and mentorship to developer teams to build cloud competencies.
• Ensure application performance, uptime, and scalability, maintaining high standards for code quality and design.
• Manage cloud environments following security guidelines.
• Design, build, and deploy AWS applications, including large-scale data processing, statistical modeling, and analytics.
• Participate in all software development lifecycle phases for AWS solutions: planning, requirements, development, testing, and quality assurance.
• Troubleshoot incidents, identify root causes, resolve issues, and document solutions.
• Educate teams on new cloud initiatives and provide necessary training.
• Demonstrate problem-solving skills to address issues proactively.

Lead Software Engineer Qualifications:

• At least three years of experience architecting, designing, developing, and implementing AWS cloud solutions.
• Knowledge of the five pillars of a well-architected framework.
• Experience in database architecture, ETL, business intelligence, big data, machine learning, or analytics.
• Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including analysts, developers, and data scientists.
• Understanding of finance and accountancy practices, especially rebates, is advantageous.
• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in computer science, IT, or mathematics.
• AWS certifications.
