Job summary

CN is seeking an experienced Signals & Communications leader to oversee inspection, maintenance, and installation programs across an assigned territory. The role involves directing a team to meet CN and Transport Canada standards, resolving performance issues, and guiding corrective actions.

The incumbent will manage capital projects, respond to derailments or disruptions, and travel as required. A strong safety mindset and prior supervisory experience are essential for success in this

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5-10 years of experience in signals and communications.
  • Minimum 2 years of S&C maintainer experience.
  • Minimum 2 years prior supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

  • Lead assigned personnel to ensure signal and communications work is performed with CN's and the Transport Canada (TC) standards, and in conjunction of applicable collective bargaining agreements
  • Direct maintainers, recommend appropriate corrective actions to resolve performance issues, as well as respond and resolve grievances
  • Plan, implement, and oversee Capital projects to ensure execution of the plan within CN and TC standards
  • Participate in activities related to derailments and disruptions in service, while working with transportation and mechanical to establish cause and future prevention
