Job summary

Canadian Nuclear Laboratories is looking for a Fleet & Maintenance Supervisor in Chalk River, Ontario. Our Fleet & Maintenance Supervisor role offers the opportunity to lead a diverse team while ensuring work is executed safely, efficiently, and on schedule in a fast‑paced operational environment. This role plays a key part in supporting daily operations, coaching team members, and maintaining high standards of safety, performance, and collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Leading and overseeing daily fleet and maintenance operations to ensure work is completed safely and efficiently.
• Supervising, coaching, and supporting a diverse team including operators, drivers, trades, and lead hands.
• Coordinating work activities, resources, and schedules to meet operational and service requirements.
• Ensuring compliance with safety standards, procedures, and regulatory requirements at all times.
• Monitoring performance and supporting continuous improvement initiatives across operations.
• Communicating effectively with internal stakeholders to support operational priorities and resolve issues.
• Supporting workforce planning, training, and development of team members.

• Security Clearance Eligibility Required
  • Reliability Status with Site Access Security Clearance (SASC), which has a minimum requirement of 3–5 years of verifiable history in Canada, Australia, New Zealand, the United States and/or the United Kingdom. CNL implements security screening in accordance with the Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat's “Standard on Security Screening” and the “Policy on Government Security.”

Working Conditions

• Working schedule: Four (4) days per week, ten (10) hours per day for a forty (40) hour work week.

Location: Onsite. This is a fully on‑site position based at our Chalk River Laboratory in Ontario.
