Security Operations handles day-to-day protection of our environment and tools, identifying security weaknesses, facilitating remediation, monitoring networks for abnormal behaviors, and managing security incidents to execute response processes.

Your Impact :

As a Security Analyst within the Security Operations Centre (SOC), you will monitor, analyze, and respond to cyber threats in real time. Using advanced security tools and techniques, you will perform log analysis, investigate security incidents, and support proactive threat hunting to strengthen OpenText’s security posture. This hands-on role involves creating, maintaining, and following detailed operational processes to analyze, escalate, and assist in remediating security incidents, as well as proactively searching for threats and abnormalities.

What the role offers :

As a Lead Security Analyst, you will :

• Manage security cases, analyze incidents, and correlate logs from SIEM, system, and network sources to detect threats in real time.
• Respond to security incidents on endpoints and servers, implementing security tools to reduce risk.
• Conduct risk analyses, security reviews, and controls assessments to ensure compliance with standards such as ISO 27001, SOC 2, HIPAA, and SOX.
• Stay updated on security advisories (e.g., CERT) and recommend appropriate responses.
• Develop and refine operational guides, playbooks, and procedures aligned with security standards and policies.
• Utilize AI and machine learning models for anomaly detection and threat hunting.
• Design and implement AI-driven incident response playbooks for faster threat containment and remediation.
• Create security event metrics, analyze data gaps, and generate reports to improve SOC performance and threat intelligence.
• Possess 8-12 years of relevant professional experience.

What you need to Succeed :

• Knowledge of key information security concepts, standards, and best practices.
• Hands-on experience with SIEM platforms (LogRhythm, ArcSight, Splunk, Microsoft Sentinel).
• Proficiency with vulnerability assessment tools (Nessus, Qualys, Rapid7) and EDR solutions.
• At least 3 years of experience with AI/ML-based security tools for threat detection and incident analysis.
• Skill in developing or customizing AI models for attack pattern identification and proactive threat hunting.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Systems, or related field; 2+ years in cybersecurity operations preferred.
• Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, GIAC, or CEH are preferred.
