Qualifications

EHS Specialist - Environmental Health and Safety (m/f/d)
  1. Act as a prevention advisor for our various locations (Waterloo, Brussels, Gembloux).
  2. Develop, implement, and evaluate the wellness policy in accordance with the Dynamic Risk Management System outlined in the Royal Decree on Wellness Policy.
  3. Coordinate activities and obligations as the local point of contact for Belgian government agencies (Valipac, FAGG, FAVV).
  4. Conduct and oversee EHS inspections and audits at BASF Benelux locations.
  5. Serve as the secretary of the CPBW (Committee for Prevention and Protection at Work) and actively participate in discussions regarding workplace prevention and protection.
  6. Create awareness around safety by organizing workshops and training sessions (e.g., Safety Days).
  7. Coordinate the activities and obligations of the company's emergency organization.
  8. Be available in case of emergencies as a member of the crisis team for Belgium.
REQUIREMENTS
  1. Hold a bachelor's or master's degree in a relevant field and have successfully completed the training to become a prevention advisor level 2.
  2. Have at least 3 years of work experience in a similar position.
  3. Possess knowledge of ISO14001 and ISO50001 management systems.
  4. Have additional diplomas in safety science and the environment.
  5. Be fluent in French, Dutch, and English, with the ability to communicate effectively at different levels within the organization.
  6. Be skilled in setting priorities and switching smoothly between different responsibilities.
