Job summary

Goodwill Industries of Alberta is hiring for a full-time hourly position ending February 27, 2027. The role involves stocking, assisting at the cash register, and preparing items for sale in a fast-paced retail environment.

Ideal candidates are eligible to work in Canada, age 15 or older, and capable of working evenings and weekends. A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred, with strong customer service and teamwork skills emphasized.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or relevant work experience.
• Minimum age of 15 or older.

• Ability to perform physical work continually.
• Knowledge of designer labels, collectibles and antiques is a strong asset.

• Be accountable for roles and contributions to Goodwill’s mission.

Responsibilities

• Transport items to and from the retail floor and merchandising shelves and displays.
• Assist at cash registers and operate the POS system.
• Prepare items for sale by hanging, cleaning and bagging as needed.
• Inspect, sort and grade donated items.
• Identify and process recyclable materials as appropriate.
• Help train other team members on job tasks and documentation.
• Model desired behavior and explain inter-relationships between job areas.
• Support the supervisor in various areas as requested.
• Complete required paperwork as needed.

What you’ll be doing:

• Assisting the supervisor in specific areas as requested.
• Completing paperwork as required.

What you bring to the table:

• A High School Diploma or relevant work experience.
• Minimum age of 15 or older.
• Must be eligible to work in Canada.
• The ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
• The ability to work a flexible work schedule, including evenings and weekends.
• The ability to perform physical work on a continual basis.
• Knowledge of designer labels, collectibles and antiques. (A strong asset but not a deal-breaker)
