Job summary

TYLin Canada is seeking an experienced Senior Signals Engineer to support planning, design, and delivery of complex rail signaling systems across commuter, transit, heavy rail, metro, and high-speed rail projects. The role leads signal engineering from concept development through commissioning and handover, developing safe, reliable train control solutions.

The candidate should have a P.Eng. designation or eligibility, proven experience delivering signaling projects, and proficiency with AutoCAD

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in civil or railway engineering.
P.Eng. designation or eligibility to obtain registration.
Experience delivering railway signaling and train control systems from design through commissioning.
Experience preparing technical specifications, procurement docs, construction packages, and design reports.
Demonstrated success leading multidisciplinary teams and coordinating with clients and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Lead the design and engineering of rail signaling and train control systems for commuter, transit, heavy rail, and high-speed rail applications.
Develop and review signal circuit designs, control lines, route & aspect charts, and cable plans.
Serve as Technical Lead and/or Engineer of Record for signaling projects.
Plan and execute project work based on scope, schedule, budget, and quality objectives.
Support both traditional design-bid-build and design-build delivery methods.
Coordinate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to deliver integrated transportation solutions.
