Job summary

WSP Global Inc. is seeking an experienced Project Engineer to lead multidisciplinary engineering activities for natural gas compressor stations and related energy infrastructure.

You will drive quality, schedule, and technical performance from early design through commissioning, coordinating across process, mechanical, piping, civil/structural, electrical, instrumentation, and controls disciplines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or related engineering discipline.
• Registered P.Eng. with APEGA, or eligible for registration in Alberta.
• 7 to 10 years of progressive engineering experience in the energy industry.
• Project Engineering experience with natural gas compressor stations or similar energy infrastructure.
• Strong understanding of compressor station design and related systems.
• Knowledge of Canadian natural gas facility requirements (CSA Z662, ASME B31.3).
• Experience coordinating multidisciplinary engineering teams across design disciplines.
• Strong client-facing engineering experience with design reviews and technical meetings.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary engineering activities for compressor stations and energy infra projects.
• Develop and review deliverables: P&IDs, PFDs, Line Lists, Equipment Lists, datasheets.
• Facilitate 3D model reviews, HAZOPs, and constructability reviews with cross-discipline teams.
• Coordinate interfaces with clients, vendors, and construction teams; resolve design issues.
• Manage execution documentation, schedules, and risk/changes; support change orders.
• Support cost estimates, procurement, vendor document reviews, and risk assessments.
• Drive engineering quality and constructability through technical reviews and field input.
• Mentor junior engineers and EITs within the project team.
