Job summary

TESC in Sudbury, Canada, is seeking an experienced Cost Control Lead to supervise a team of administrative assistants and cost control analysts. You will guide budgeting, reporting, and process improvements across multi‑discipline projects.

The ideal candidate will drive cost forecasting, variance analysis, and financial insights for senior leadership, identify risks and mitigation strategies, and nurture a collaborative, safety‑driven culture on complex industrial initiatives.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of cost control experience in construction, mining, or engineering.
• Minimum 3 years in leadership or supervisory roles.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.
• Jonas software knowledge is an asset.
• Experience with trade union collective agreements is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of administrative assistants and cost control analysts.
• Monitor project budgets and align with cost control objectives.
• Prepare and present detailed cost performance reports against milestones.
• Communicate financial performance, risks, and recommendations to leadership.
• Identify cost overruns and implement proactive mitigation strategies.
