Job summary

Ausenco in Vancouver is seeking a Lead Project Controller to join our Minerals and Metals team. You will lead project controls across assigned projects, implement budgets, schedules, and scope control, track expenses, and provide actionable insights to the team.

The role requires 12+ years in project controls, experience on large mining/engineering EPCM or construction projects, and familiarity with Oracle, EcoSys and P6. A Bachelor's degree is an asset.

• Demonstrated experience leading project controls activities on large-scale mining, engineering, EPCM, or construction projects.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering is an asset.
• Experience using Oracle, EcoSys and P6 is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Lead the implementation and management of project controls systems, processes, and reporting requirements across assigned projects.
• Establish and maintain project control budgets utilizing standard Ausenco systems, work breakdown structures (WBS), and control accounts to monitor project performance.
• Provide leadership and guidance on cost control, forecasting, scheduling, progress measurement, risk management and change management activities.
• Monitor project budgets, commitments, expenditures, forecasts, and schedule performance, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities and developing mitigation strategies.

Our team in Canada is growing. We are currently recruiting for a Lead Project Controller to join our Minerals and Metals business in Vancouver.

This role is a great chance to grow and build your skills in project control while working on exciting projects. You'll get hands‑on experience with scheduling, budgets and scope control, tracking expenses, and making a real impact on the team’s success.

About the Role

Salary range: $130,000 - $180,000
