Job summary

Ausenco is seeking a Director, Project Services to join the Minerals & Metals leadership team in North America. This role can be based in Toronto, Vancouver, or Calgary, overseeing project delivery, controls, and governance.

You will drive performance across a diversified project portfolio, mentor teams, and partner with Project Managers and VP-level stakeholders to deliver high-quality outcomes. The position emphasizes strategic execution, financial acumen, and talent development.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Chemical, Mining, or similar).
  • Extensive (15+ years) experience in engineering consulting, EPCM, or project delivery within Minerals & Metals or similar industry.
  • Strong track record across project controls, including estimating, planning & scheduling, cost control, and project management.
  • Experience leading large, complex projects through the full lifecycle, from studies to execution.
  • Proven ability to lead and develop multidisciplinary teams across multiple locations and partner with Project Managers and senior stakeholders.
  • Solid commercial and financial acumen, including forecasting, budgeting, and project governance.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive consistency, improve delivery practices, and influence outcomes in a fast-paced environment.
  • A collaborative, hands-on leader with strong communication skills and a focus on quality, people development, and results.

Responsibilities

We’re looking for a Director, Project Services to join our Minerals & Metals leadership team in North America. This role can be based in Toronto, Vancouver, or Calgary.

This is a key leadership opportunity within our North American business and a valued member of the Regional Leadership Team (RLT). You’ll partner closely with Project Managers and Project Controls teams across a diverse portfolio of projects, while collaborating with regional Project Controls leaders and Vice Presidents to drive strong, consistent project delivery.

About the role

In this role, you’ll have a broad and meaningful impact, including:

  • Driving project performance by monitoring and reporting on execution, ensuring alignment with regional priorities and strategic goals

About You

You are a proven strategic business partner looking for your next challenge and can offer the following skills and experience:
