Job summary

Signal 1, based in Toronto, is seeking a lead product designer to shape an AI-native design system for healthcare management. You’ll collaborate with engineering, product, customer success, and data science to move problems to delightful solutions, delivering scalable interfaces for enterprise SaaS.

You bring a proven track record as a lead or senior designer in B2B SaaS, with strong user insight and ability to make fast decisions in ambiguity. This in-person role requires 2–3 days onsite.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a lead, senior, or only product designer in B2B enterprise SaaS startups.
• A demonstrated history designing niche and/or technically complex products. You deeply understand users’ needs and pair that with enough understanding of the technology to make sound design decisions and trade-offs.
• High agency and the resourcefulness to get the information you need to make decisions, paired with strong design intuition to make good, fast calls even when the picture is incomplete.
• Clarity, succinctness, and precision in both design and communication—visual, written, and verbal.
• You present design ideas to internal stakeholders and customers in ways that are easy to understand, invite feedback, and build alignment.
• A fast, organized, AI-native way of working. You move quickly without dropping things, and you use AI tools daily to speed up every step of the product design process without sacrificing quality.
• A high bar for craft. You push beyond 'does it work?' to 'does it feel right?' and carry that standard through every detail.

Health systems are rapidly moving from predictive models and generative AI to autonomous agents that can take action across clinical, operational and administrative workflows. What you’ll do

Our office is based in Yorkville, Toronto and we come together 2-3 days a week to collaborate, innovate, and have fun. This role requires you to be in-person 2-3 days a week.

You’ll be a great fit if you have

You present design ideas to internal stakeholders and customers in ways that ’s easy to understand, invite meaningful feedback, and build alignment. You bring the same clarity to the product experience, thoughtfully guiding users through complex workflows in ways that feel intuitive, elegant, and delightful.
