Job summary

Linxon in Ontario is seeking an SME, Primary Engineering (Electro-Mechanical) to spearhead high-voltage substation layouts and energization strategies. The role focuses on delivering buildable designs for 765kV to 11kV projects, aligning with the modernization of the power grid and integration of renewables.

The ideal candidate has a strong electrical engineering background with 5+ years experience or a Master’s with 3+ years, plus CAD tool proficiency and GIS experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering with 5+ years of experience or Master’s with 3+ years.
• Professional Engineering (P.Eng.) certification preferred.
• Hands-on experience with outdoor and indoor GIS applications and understanding of building infrastructure to support indoor GIS.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and MicroStation for design deliverables.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-voltage designs to strengthen grid reliability.
• Produce buildable layouts and specifications to reduce issues.
• Apply advanced engineering analysis to ensure long-term performance.
• Lead design reviews and provide site support to resolve issues early.
• Collaborate with engineering, supply chain, and field teams from design to energization.
• Present clear, dependable technical solutions to enable successful project delivery.
