Job summary

ATCO Structures is seeking a Preconstruction Project Manager for the Permanent Modular Construction team, based in Grimsby, Ontario. You will plan, scope, and estimate projects, working with Business Development to deliver strong proposals and convert them into awarded contracts.

The role requires 5–10 years in construction project management, design-build experience, and proficiency with MS Project/Primavera, MS Office, SharePoint, Teams, and Procore.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering or related technical field; professional designation preferred.
• 5–10 years of progressive construction project management experience.
• Experience with design-build or construction management and managing consultant teams.
• Familiarity with permitting processes and National Building Code; experience with contracts.

Responsibilities

• Plan opportunity response approach and establish internal responsibilities/timelines.
• Attend pre-bid site visits as required.
• Develop and issue RFP documents for internal departments and external subcontractors and consultants.
• Tender site installation scopes, conduct bid analysis and carry/award recommendations.
• Develop conceptual project schedules (MS Project or Primavera) for bid submission and post-award.
• Build construction estimates from ground up based on floor plans.
• Review and comment on construction contracts; handover to execution team after award.
• Champion safety and quality per ATCO HSE policies and procedures.
