Job summary

Interior Health is seeking a permanent full-time Chief Power Engineer 4 / Maintenance Supervisor / Maintenance Worker for their Cottonwoods facility in Kelowna, BC. This role requires rotating on-call duty and oversight of the power plant, boilers, HVAC and related equipment.

You will supervise staff, coordinate preventive maintenance and training, and ensure safe, reliable operation while managing materials and contractors. A strong multi-trades skillset is valued to support operations.

Qualifications

Grade 12 education plus five (5) years recent related experience including two (2) years in a supervisory capacity or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Certificate of competency as 4th Class Power Engineer recognized by the Province of British Columbia.
Valid Class 5 Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

Oversee safe and efficient operation, maintenance and repair of the facility’s power plant, boilers, HVAC systems, emergency power and related equipment.
Supervise Power Engineers and designated staff, coordinate work assignments, preventative maintenance and training.
Monitor materials, expenditures and contractors; perform skilled maintenance across trades including mechanical, plumbing and equipment repairs.
Ensure critical facility systems and equipment remain safe, reliable and operational within applicable codes and safety standards.
