Job summary

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in the food processing industry.
• Experience in a unionized environment is an asset.
• Knowledge of GMP, HACCP, WHMIS and Lean manufacturing concepts is an asset.
• Ability to communicate in English verbally and in writing.
• Basic computer skills; strong leadership and communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Deliver production results on assigned shifts per plans to meet objectives.
• Lead hourly employees, coach, cross-train and address HR issues.
• Allocate resources and communicate performance indicators.
• Monitor schedules, production environment and quality/cost metrics.
• Maintain and operate Chillers in Cryovac department; ensure safety and regulatory compliance.
• Coordinate work with other departments and train staff; support supervisors as needed.
