Job summary

Waabi is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to own design, deployment, and lifecycle management of its multi-site network, spanning switching, routing, wireless, and security. You will lead ISP planning, implement robust incident response, and enforce standardized configurations across locations.

Qualifications

• Deep knowledge of OSI model and networking, spanning multi-site environments.
• Hands-on experience with enterprise switching, routing, wireless, and lifecycle management.
• Experience operating firewalls, VPNs, and WAN optimization for multi-site orgs.
• Familiarity with mesh/overlay VPN and zero-trust tools.
• Experience with IPAM and VLAN design across multiple sites.
• Linux proficiency and IaC tooling experience (Ansible, Puppet, Chef, Terraform).
• Experience with network monitoring, observability, and incident-response processes.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to document findings clearly.
• Collaborative, cross-site mindset with ownership of responsibilities.
• Interest in self-driving technology and scaling infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Own design, deployment, and lifecycle management of Waabi's multi-site network.
• Lead ISP/bandwidth planning for redundant, appropriately sized throughput.
• Manage network incident response, root-cause analysis, and runbooks.
• Audit and harden network configurations across all sites.
• Define and enforce network hardware/firmware standards.
• Maintain IP addressing, VLAN architecture, and segmentation.
• Evaluate zero-trust remote access tooling to meet security needs.
• Support vehicle connectivity with Product Infrastructure and Fleet teams.
• Partner with Engineering to ensure reliable developer-facing network paths.
• Scale network to support high-performing on-prem compute and storage clusters.
• Create and maintain network documentation and disaster-recovery processes.
