Title: Lead Methods Engineer Electrical Wiring and Avionics
Location: Toronto, Ontario, Canada
Duration: Full-time role
Responsibilities
- Lead a team of Methods Engineering Technologists within avionics and electrical installations.
- Set objectives aligned with company goals and manage performance.
- Ensure adherence to Engineering and Quality processes to deliver high-quality planning documentation.
- Support aircraft assembly manufacturing, resolve technical issues, and optimize work packages.
- Define and optimize processes, tools, and behaviors considering business needs, customer requirements, and innovations.
- Review engineering changes for manufacturability and incorporate them efficiently into builds.
- Monitor staff progress, adherence to schedules, and budgeted hours.
- Develop team members through workforce planning, performance management, career development, and recruitment.
Skills and Qualifications
- Experience in aerospace and manufacturing considered.
- Degree or diploma in Business, Project Management, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- 10+ years in manufacturing, process, or industrial engineering, especially in avionics and electrical programs.
- Leadership experience is an asset.
- PMP certification is an asset.
- Knowledge of cost accounting and estimating.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
- Strong communication skills for executive presentations.
- Innovative thinking and sound decision-making skills.
- Customer-focused and collaborative team player.
