Job summary

EllisDon is seeking a Mechanical/Electrical Project Manager to plan the mechanical and electrical components of a construction project, ensuring activities fit within the overall program. You will chair project M&E meetings, monitor costs and schedule, and drive a successful commissioning phase.

This role demands an engineering degree and 5–7 years of ME/EE experience, with the ability to obtain Secret clearance and operate in AB. Opportunities for growth and competitive compensation are offered.

Qualifications

• Engineering/Mechanical degree or equivalent training.
• Mechanical or Electrical design experience is an asset.
• End-to-end project management experience: scope, specs, tendering, installation, closeout.
• 5–7 years of experience in Mechanical and Electrical functions.
• Ability to work in Cold Lake, AB.
• Ability to obtain Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Plan the mechanical and electrical components of a construction project and ensure applicable activities fit within the overall project framework.
• Chair project M&E meetings, determining the status of the job in terms of scheduling and costing and solve complex technical issues.
• Monitor a project’s material and labour costs for mechanical and electrical components and assure accurate quality reporting is being conducted.
• Manage project commissioning team to provide a record of systems performance.
• Prepare and implement training programs to ensure successful transition from the construction team to facility management.
