Job summary

Curtiss-Wright's Dyna-Flo team in Edmonton, AB is seeking a Machining and Production Engineering Supervisor to oversee day-to-day machine shop operations and staff engaged in machining, tooling, and prototypes. You will coordinate staffing, workflow, equipment utilization, and production priorities to meet delivery, quality, and safety objectives under general management direction.

Experience interpreting technical drawings and manufacturing documentation is essential, with aerospace/defense

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of experience in machining/production engineering supervision.
• Strong knowledge of machining methods, tooling, tolerances, and inspection practices.
• Experience interpreting technical drawings and managing production schedules in an aerospace/defense context.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily machine shop activities; assign work, coordinate staffing and machine utilization, monitor production schedules, and adjust priorities to meet delivery, quality, and productivity requirements.
• Monitor machining operations, work methods, tooling, tolerances, equipment condition, and process execution; resolve routine operating issues and escalated significant technical, quality, equipment, or production concerns.
• Lead assigned employees through work direction, coaching, training, performance feedback, attendance management, and reinforcement of safety, quality, security, regulatory, and company requirements.
• Maintain production, performance, labor, quality, and operating records; communicate shop status, constraints, performance trends, and resource needs to management and partner functions.
• Support improvements to shop procedures, work methods, tooling, equipment, layout, and manufacturing practices; provide input regarding staffing, equipment replacement, and capital requirements.
