Job summary

Citigroup Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Lead Java Developer to strengthen our Internal Tools & Platforms team in Mississauga, Canada.

You will design, build and deploy scalable Java/Spring applications, containerized with Docker, while guiding Agile practices and ensuring high code quality. Join a collaborative environment focused on developer productivity, automation, and cutting-edge tech stack including Angular front-ends and RESTful services.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of relevant experience.
• Hands-on with Java, Spring and cloud-ready apps.
• Experience with SOA & Micro-services using REST.
• Proficient with Kafka and RDBMS/SQL.
• Experience with test frameworks JUnit/Mockito/Cucumber/RestAssured.
• Understanding SDLC for Agile & Waterfall.
• OpenTelemetry, Splunk, ELK monitoring experience.
• Excellent written and oral communication.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop web-based apps and cloud services in Angular/Java/Spring/OpenShift stack.
• Work closely with stakeholders in a highly collaborative environment.
• Promote and follow solid agile software development practices.
• Build for highly reliable, scalable, and maintainable applications.
• Provide leadership in research, design and implementing improvements to platform technology solutions.
• Develop front end web interfaces with Angular & React frameworks.
