Minnesota Department of Children, Youth, and Families seeks a Lead IT Auditor to independently evaluate and enhance the organization’s IT control environment. You will lead IT audit activities, report findings to management, and collaborate with MNIT on security and compliance topics.
This full-time role offers telework up to 50% and a standard daytime schedule. Relevant certifications such as CISA/CISSP are preferred; robust experience in IT governance is essential.

This position exists to independently evaluate and assess the Department’s information technology control environment across the enterprise, to include all aspects of managing and maintaining internal controls to ensure that they comply with relevant regulatory, legal, and industry standards and that they operate effectively and efficiently.
This position works with minimal supervision to achieve its objectives. This position will serve as a team lead for the IT Audit activities and is responsible for reporting the results of audit activities to management on a periodic basis.
Additionally, this position serves as the Department’s key contact with MNIT on information technology internal controls and other Information technology security and audit related topics. It is also responsible for evaluating, developing and executing strategies for increasing awareness of, and monitoring compliance with, information technology internal controls.
This position serves as the lead for investigating data incidents that occur at local agencies using subject matter expertise in data types and classifications in collaboration with the Department’s Data Privacy Office and Digital Forensics to direct the department’s response, including fulfilling federal reporting requirements.

Four (4) years of specialized experience in IT auditing, information security, IT compliance, cybersecurity, or information systems risk management.
