Job summary

Randstad Canada is seeking a Journeyman Shop Foreman in SE Calgary, AB, to lead a team of 3–4 technicians and apprentices on a Monday–Friday day shift. The role emphasizes hands-on diagnostics, maintenance scheduling, and safety compliance in an industrial equipment rental setting.

The ideal candidate has a HET journeyman (Red Seal) and 3+ years of experience with high‑reach machinery, strong leadership, and the ability to coordinate shop operations and technician tasks effectively.

Qualifications

Journeyman HET certification or Red Seal required.
3+ years hands-on experience inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing high‑reach equipment.
Proven supervisory experience leading technician teams and managing shop maintenance.

Responsibilities

Lead a team of 3–4 technicians and apprentices to maximize shop efficiency.
Manage daily shop operations and prioritize maintenance schedules.
Conduct diagnostics and repairs on high‑reach aerial equipment (hydraulic/electrical/diesel).
Enforce safety standards, green tag verifications, and load testing across fleet.
