Job summary

Golderado is seeking a Foreman/Forewoman for Water & Sewer projects. The role requires leadership on heavy equipment sites, ensuring safety, coordinating crews, and delivering high-quality excavation work and backfill activities.

Ideal candidates will have 5+ years of heavy equipment experience, a valid operator certificate, and supervisory experience, with Underground utilities/water & sewer exposure and a valid driver's license. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 5 years of experience operating heavy equipment.
• A heavy equipment operator certificate required.
• A minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience.
• Underground utilities/water & sewer experience required.
• A valid driver's license is required.
• CSTS 2020 or SCOT and WHMIS 2015 required.
• Ability to identify problems and develop practical solutions within a team.
• Experience in road construction, civil works, earthworks, or water/sewer is required.
• Support the 'As-Built' function.
• Leadership for Safety Excellence (LSE) certification preferred).

Responsibilities

• Work with superintendents and contractors to improve safety practices.
• Contribute to creating and executing safety plans.
• Lead excavation and backfilling execution plans.
• Ensure site safety and compliance.
• Lead weekly safety meetings on sites.
• Lead toolbox talks and participate in safety briefings.
• Assist in incident investigations and reporting.
• Supervise workers and promote safety culture and productivity.
• Operate and maintain heavy equipment; perform pre-operation checks.
• Coordinate equipment and survey crews; interpret grade stakes.
