Lead Hand Heavy Duty Technician
GFL Environmental – Calgary, AB
Our Lead Technicians provide supervision and direction to a team of technicians who safely operate, repair, and maintain GFL Environmental owned commercial diesel and alternative fuel trucks, and heavy equipment to ensure its ability to operate safely. The lead hand technician has a split of duties between planning, scheduling supervising and repair tasks.

Lead a team of technicians, providing guidance and support
Oversee and schedule repairs, ensuring timely maintenance
Diagnose and repair modern diesel and CNG engines, electrical, and hydraulic systems
Perform preventative maintenance and safety inspections
Mentor apprentice technicians and support their development
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Journeyman/Red Seal
Leadership experience is an asset
Valid Driver’s License
Your own tools (or willingness to acquire them)
Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
Work indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions
Lift up to 50 lbs and push/pull up to 100 lbs
Use personal protective equipment as required
