Noble Corporation seeks a Lead Hand for the Afternoon Shift at our Canadian Distribution Centre. You will lead the afternoon warehouse team, coordinate loading, picking, and shipping activities to ensure timely deliveries, while maintaining safety and efficiency. Strong leadership and forklift experience are required.

The role emphasizes teamwork, operational excellence, and collaboration with day shift to ensure seamless handovers and high service levels.

Qualifications

  • Minimum two years in a leadership role in a warehouse.
  • Proficiency in Outlook, Excel and Word (Microsoft Office).
  • Experience operating forklift equipment.
  • Experience with ERP & WMS systems.
  • Demonstrated interpersonal, problem solving, leadership and customer service skills.

Responsabilités

  • Coordinate and oversee afternoon shift warehouse operations, ensuring orders are picked, loaded, and staged accurately and efficiently for on-time delivery.
  • Organize and prepare shipping documentation to support loading and dispatch of trucks.
  • Prioritize workloads and assign loading activities to warehouse team members to maximize productivity and service levels.
  • Oversee product loading activities within warehouse management systems, ensuring accuracy and compliance with standards.
  • Create and manage pick lists for pipe and specialty product orders.
  • Provide operational support and troubleshooting for warehouse systems and processes.
  • Communicate key updates and shift handovers between afternoon and day shifts.
  • Investigate and resolve shipping, loading, and inventory issues promptly.
  • Maintain a safe, clean work environment adhering to health and safety policies.
  • Perform other duties to support warehouse operations.

How you Contribute to Noble's Success
  • Coordinate and oversee afternoon shift warehouse operations, ensuring orders are picked, loaded, and staged accurately and efficiently for on-time delivery.
  • Organize and prepare shipping documentation to support the loading and dispatch of early departure and overnight delivery trucks.
  • Prioritize workloads and assign loading activities to warehouse team members to maximize productivity and service levels.
  • Oversee product loading activities within Noble's warehouse management systems, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with operational standards.
  • Create, review, and manage electronic and manual pick lists, including pipe and specialty product orders.
  • Provide operational support and troubleshooting for warehouse systems, processes, and loading activities.
  • Communicate key operational updates and shift handovers to support seamless transitions between afternoon and day shift teams.
  • Investigate and resolve shipping, loading, and inventory issues in a timely manner to minimize service disruptions.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while adhering to all company health and safety policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support warehouse and distribution centre operations.
Must Haves and Nice to Haves
You Must Have:
  • Minimum two (2) years' experience in a leadership role in a warehouse environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications including Outlook, Excel and Word
  • Experience in operating various forklift equipment
  • Experience working with ERP & WMS systems
  • Demonstrated interpersonal, problem solving, and leadership and customer service skills to effectively build positive relationships with all stakeholders
  • A team-first attitude and an ability to provide effective direction to team members
  • Strong communication skills, ability to convey messages in an organized, clear, and effective manner
  • Exceptional time management and organization skills, with the proven ability to adhere to tight deadlines
  • A self-starter with the ability to lead a team by example and exercise independent judgment and initiative
  • Ability to lift upwards of fifty (50) pounds
