Job summary

TEEMA is seeking a Lead Hand in Concord, Ontario to provide hands-on floor leadership across saws, manual operations, light assembly, and CNC stations during the afternoon shift. You will lead and coach a team of approximately 10 operators, setting a strong, respectful shift culture and ensuring smooth production flow.

We value quick thinking, clear communication, and the ability to adapt on the floor. No formal leadership experience is required as training will be provided; CNC or aluminum

Qualifications

• Must be a high-energy, outgoing, confident communicator.
• Able to lead and coach a team on the floor.
• Fast thinker who reads floor dynamics well.
• No formal leadership experience required—we will train the right personality.
• CNC or aluminum profile machining experience is an asset.
• Background in building materials or high-volume manufacturing is a plus.

What you will be doing:

• Provide hands-on floor leadership across saws, manual operations, light assembly, and CNC stations during the afternoon shift

• Lead and coach a team of approximately 10 operators, setting the tone for a stronger, more respectful shift culture

• Keep production moving — problem-solve in the moment, think on your feet, and communicate clearly under pressure

• Support the Production Supervisor in day-to-day department operations

• Help build and model the standard for BV Glazing’s new Lead Hand structure as the department transitions away from unionized “captains”

What you must have:

• High energy, outgoing, and a clear, confident communicator

• Comfortable leading and coaching people — strong common sense with people

• A quick thinker who can carry a conversation and read what’s happening on the floor

• No formal leadership experience required — we will train the right personality

• CNC or aluminum profile machining experience is an asset, not a requirement

• Background in building materials, window & curtain wall, or similar high-volume manufacturing environments (e.g. Toro Group, Vic West, Technion) is a plus

Salary/Rate Range: $25.00–$30.00/hour
