Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering is required.
• Minimum 2 years in an Electrical Engineering role; hydroelectric/utility experience preferred.
• Knowledge of OH&S regulations and electrical codes is essential.
• Familiarity with protective relays, grounding, LV/MV systems and instrumentation.

Responsibilities

• Plan and conduct electrical engineering assessments for generators and power systems.
• Perform life cycle assessments and provide maintenance recommendations.
• Prepare drawings, specifications, estimates and proposals; coordinate contracts.
• Contribute to project plans, budgets, schedules and resource requirements.
• Collaborate with customers, stakeholders, contractors and government agencies.
• Respond to emergencies and investigate equipment failures; develop corrective actions.
