Job summary

RBC is seeking a Lead Full Stack Developer to design and implement APIs and UIs for AWS and Azure Data & AI platforms. You will mentor a team of developers, drive technical excellence, and collaborate with researchers to bring ML capabilities to enterprise.

The role involves building scalable web apps, APIs, and ML workflow integrations, with a focus on reliability and performance. You will work on cutting-edge AI initiatives within RBC's Borealis Lumina platform, joining a team dedicated to ML

Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and at least one backend language (Python, Java, or Node.js).
• Experience building web apps with modern frameworks (React, Vue, Angular).
• Strong understanding of REST APIs and web app architecture.
• Familiar with devops tooling including Git, Docker and GitHub actions.
• Solid knowledge of databases, SQL and ORMs.
• Nice-to-have: cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and MLOps concepts.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of full-stack APIs and UIs using modern frameworks and technologies.
• Lead the development of backend services and APIs using Python, FastAPI and Flask.
• Collaborate with platform engineers to integrate applications with MLOps infrastructure and guide technical decisions.
• Participate in code reviews and drive improvement of code quality and best practices.
• Support application CI/CD pipelines using GitHub actions, deploying to Kubernetes.
• Set up application monitoring and alerting through Grafana.
• Work with internal clients and stakeholders on new feature enablement.
