RBC is seeking a visionary Director of AI Engineering to guide the strategy and execution of scalable AI and data-driven solutions in Toronto. You will shape platforms, lead a high-performing team, and partner with business leaders to deliver secure, reliable AI capabilities that drive measurable business value.

You will oversee MLOps/LLMOps, governance, and automation, ensuring production-grade AI across cloud environments while fostering an inclusive, high-performing engineering culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• 10+ years in software/data/AI delivery with leadership experience.
• Proven enterprise-scale AI/ML platform design and deployment in cloud environments.
• Strong AI engineering practices including MLOps, LLMOps, observability, governance, and automation.

Responsibilities

• Define and lead the enterprise AI engineering strategy, roadmap, and delivery model.
• Build and scale AI engineering and MLOps teams delivering production-grade AI solutions.
• Establish scalable AI platforms, frameworks, and governance for ML workloads.
• Partner with stakeholders to identify high-value AI use cases and drive end-to-end delivery.
• Ensure operational excellence through AI lifecycle management, monitoring, and responsible AI practices.
